Simple Ways To Get Your Kitchen Ready For An Inspection

The kitchen is often the heart of the home. It's where we entertain and live our everyday lives. So it's usually the most important space in the home that buyers will be attracted to and want to see.

These simple tips will help you get your kitchen looking pristine for an inspection.

Clear the bench

We need bench space to do things such as prepare food, put your groceries on and eat your cereal. So having a lot of it is a huge benefit. Clear off appliances like blenders or microwaves as well as dish racks. Get rid of the 'stuff' bowl where keys and well... stuff gets thrown into. Give it a really good wipe over to make sure there's no food scraps, spills or finger prints.

Organise the pantry

Buyers look inside cupboards, we know they do! Especially the pantry. So it's now time that you dive right in and throw out anything old or that your not going to use. Buy some cheap storage containers and empty any packets into them like flours, nuts, cereals and rice. This will save a lot of space an look super tidy.

Clean every inch

You can tell when a kitchen is clean and when it's not.

Clean cupboard doors, shelves, the cooktop, rangehood, oven, dishwasher, sink, taps and any rubber seals. Obviously make sure all the dishes are put away neatly. Give the floors a good vacuum and mop to get rid of any marks and smudges.

Add some colour

Do this by swapping out your daggy tea towels to your fancy ones. Fill the fruit bowl with lots of colour. Display a fresh bunch of flowers in a vase as a centrepiece.
